Public Tours at E-WERK Luckenwalde
E-WERK Luckenwalde is a unique, self-powered contemporary art center where art and renewable energy intersect. Our public tours offer insight into the site’s history as a former coal-fired power station, its transformation into an art space, and our concept of Kunststrom (art power). The tour includes:
- A visit to the monumental Turbine Hall
- Insights into the workings of the world’s first self-powered contemporary art center
- Behind the scenes of E-WERK’s energy production & access to the reactivated machines in the old engine room
- A look into the Kunststrom research lab and its upcoming projects
The tour focuses on E-WERK as a monumental site, its infrastructure, and its story. When exhibitions are on view, visitors will also receive a brief introduction to the curatorial programme and thematic direction. Please note that this is not a full exhibition tour. Tickets for this will soon be available to book separately.
