E-WERK Luckenwalde and the Bündnis Demokratisches Teltow-Fläming e.V. invite you to an intensive Critical Whiteness Workshop by Phönix e.V. in Luckenwalde from March 20–22, 2026. Phönix e.V., awarded the Aachen Peace Prize, is one of Germany’s oldest and most active anti-racism organizations. The training is designed for white participants and provides space to reflect on systemic and unconscious racism in society and personal experience. It provides a clear and supportive framework for addressing systemic and unconscious racism in our country, culture and personal histories. Ultimately, the training asks: 'How can I effectively combat racism?' Together, we will explore initial steps and possibilities. One of the two trainers grew up in Luckenwalde. Led by Ute von Essen and Dr. Mutlu Ergün-Hamaz, it combines scientific insight with many years of practical experience. Participation requires a binding registration, limited to 20 places.

The training times are

  • Friday, March 20, 15:00 to 20:30
  • Saturday, March 21, 9:00 to 19:00
  • Sunday, March 22, 9:00 to 15:00

You can find more information about the training concept here and here.
